The Evolution of Fashion

HUMOR
A man is at work one day when he notices that his co-worker is wearing an earring.
The man knows his co-worker to be a normally conservative fellow, and is curious about his sudden change in 'fashion sense'.

The man walks up to him and says, 'I didn't know you were into earrings.'

'Don't make such a big deal, it's only an earring,' he replies sheepishly.

His friend falls silent for a few minutes, but then his curiosity prods him to ask, 'So, how long have you been wearing one?';

'Ever since my wife found it in my truck.'

(I always wondered how this trend got started.)

Good morning!

Glad we don't have to wonder about why men wear earrings.

The report Senator Roberts couldn't ever finish is coming out. Now that everything that could be discovered has been discovered, printed and cussed and discussed by someone else. Oh, and I hear some will still blame everything on the assessments of Clinton. How long will everything be Bill's fault? The wheels on the bus go round and round.

Mother found a place she loves and has already begun the process of getting her home ready for market. She hopes she can sell this summer and be moved before the next winter.

The weather is absolutely gorgeous! I plan to do some more cleaning up after ole man winter today. With any luck I can get the leaves from under all the bushes and make things look tidy before the end of the week when I plan to become a total basketball fan, doing little more than getting ready for the next game.

Linda,

Glad to hear your mom found a place that she likes and is excited about moving at last!

Had to take the car in this am to the shop. I am low on coolant and we don't know why - the engine just got replaced in November after the fiance flooded it out, so there shouldn't be a coolant leak. Hopefully they find it and fix it easily, but you know, my luck rarely runs that way.

"High School Confidential," an ambitious eight-part documentary series that begins airing tonight on WE. Filmed in the spirit of the classic British series "Seven Up!," it follows 12 teenage girls at a single Kansas high school, tracking each of them from freshman through senior year.

The girls of Northwest High..."

Linda, So glad your mom found a place she liked!

MM continues to get stronger and stronger. He walked over 100 feet all last week and Saturday walked 200 feet. He says he wants to stay at least until the IV antibiotics are done on April 7. His next knee doctor appt is April 4. We should know by then the level of infection.
I was really hoping to have him home by Easter but I'd rather have him home fixed for good rather than have to take him back to the hospital again.

Julie, Across the street from where your new workplace is! I have some questions for you but plenty of time to ask them. Small things like, are you aware of a quilt club?

Linda,

still looks like a good series - i didn't realize it was a KS high school either... unfortunately I don't get WE so won't be able to watch it :(...

Anyone see that Yoder furniture store burned down yesterday? FD is saying it's probably a total loss. And of course the idiot commentors are out and about at the Eagle... I had to click off the site because one person's post made me so angry!

Check it out! This is the person the Republican's will support for POTUS. Could be an improvement, but isn't much different.

I sent this link to some of you over the weekend. It's a YouTube of five Texas girls (ages 8 - 13) singing the National Anthem before a Texas / Texas Tech basketball game. I have never heard it done so well! Be someplace where you can turn up the volume and enjoy.

Linda, glad to hear about your mother's apparent success. The series does sound interesting, but I don't know if I'll see it.

Read about the report and the Republican appendix that will, according to the article, be a listing of names of Democrats that were alleged supporters of the Iraq adventure. I think it would be appropriate for someone involved to also provide a list as to each of them showing whether they were privy to information about the misgivings on intelligence that the main report is going to discuss, or if they were merely provided a summary of the "positive" stuff. It seems to me that if there was not a disclosure of the "perhaps, maybe, not in total agreement", etc., caveats about the intel, then IMO, members of either party in the Congress should be subjected to criticism for the vote on the bill that did authorize the invasion "as a last resort", as I recall the language (paraphrased as it may be). It will be interesting reading, for sure, although I think no one's mind will be changed by its contents.
