A Day Without Mediocrity.....

OPEN THREADS

....No, No, it's not like a day without sunshine.

It just means that Mr. Mediocrity had a quite undignified 24 hour bug.

"We are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is."  ~Kurt Vonnegut

Hope it was, indeed, a "quite undignified 24 hour bug", Tracy. That's what I though I had had, before that semi dropped on me a few days later....

Last night I had just fallen asleep when I hear a little voice, "Mama, I don't feel so" and immediately was sick on me, my bed, the carpet and herself. I got her to the toilet were she proceeded with her sickness and I cleaned up as I could. We eventually went through 3 nightshirts for her, 2 for me, 5 pillowcases and I just stripped the sheets off this morning.
And my mom's sick with this stuff too. Thankfully Mouse doesn't have it (fingers crossed and toes and eyes...)

Hope all y'all sickies are better soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie, I'm finally over it, although the residual effects are still with me (no energy, but better daily). I'm blaming the adjustment to the "Spring Forward" a bit here, too. Back when I was less chronologically challenged, this didn't bother me a bit. The recent past four years, however, have; a bit more annually.

Glad you are beter Tracy and sure hope it's a lasting better. I've known several people who fit Vaughn's description.

Big 12 basketball begins in less than 30 minutes. ;-) When I worked for a living and wasn't a bum I took vacation days at this time of year. I wonder if I will enjoy my basketball as much if I can't be on vacation? Am I rubbing this in to you who are still working for a living?? Color me happy and sassy.

Linda,

I am green as well... ESPECIALLY as nice as the weather has been this week, I am definitely feeling the spring fever.

We had a touch of the bug at our house (okay, I had it but everyone else escaped it) and I hope it stays that way. I simply cannot handle seeing anyone throw up, and somehow it seems when the monster winds up with it, then I get it five times as bad as he does...

All this flipping back and forth to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU... all this wonderful basketball. At one point I found it interesting that G'Town was beating Nova under the tutilege of John Thompson III, while TxTech was coached by the younger Knight and OKSt the younger Sutton. I hadn't given thought to how many young coaches are sons of well known coaches. OK, back to Colorado / Baylor with frequent look ins to other games around the country. I am rubbing it in and it really isn't very nice, is it!?

Vaughn, are you listening to this Colorado / Baylor game? If Baylor doesn't wake up really quickly they will go home and I'm afraid it might not bode well for their chance of an NCAA invite.

Nope, Linda, I wasn't; how did the game turn out? I saw "over there" you posted about it, so was wondering.

Colorado won in the second overtime. Baylor just wasn't the team they had been most of the season in today's game; plus Colorado played with real heart and soul. Quite an upset, tho.
