MORE THOUGHTS ON GOD......

Poetry & Lyrics
Dont go to church on sunday
Dont get on my knees to pray
Dont memorize the books of the bible
I got my own special way
Bit I know jesus loves me
Maybe just a little bit more

I fall on my knees every sunday
At zerelda lees candy store

Well its got to be a chocolate jesus
Make me feel good inside
Got to be a chocolate jesus
Keep me satisfied

Well I dont want no anna zabba
Dont want no almond joy
There aint nothing better
Suitable for this boy
Well its the only thing
That can pick me up
Better than a cup of gold
See only a chocolate jesus
Can satisfy my soul

(solo)
When the weather gets rough
And its whiskey in the shade
Its best to wrap your savior
Up in cellophane
He flows like the big muddy
But thats ok
Pour him over ice cream
For a nice parfait

Well its got to be a chocolate jesus
Good enough for me
Got to be a chocolate jesus
Good enough for me

Well its got to be a chocolate jesus
Make me feel good inside
Got to be a chocolate jesus
Keep me satisfied

I'm glad to see this post and know somewhere out there you're still here. Vaughn made a little post at his place so now we know both you friends are still kickin!

Wish we could slow down the merry go round. Some days it would be nice to sit idly in the shade with friends and be quiet or talk which wouldn't matter as much as just being there with nice people.

I'm off to Boston. Be back late next week. Don't know why I felt the need to explain I haven't fallen off the edge of the earth yet. This is a special trip! I'm taking my two youngest grandchildren -- girls who are cousins, 10 and 12 years old. Neither has ever been on an airplane, seen an ocean, ridden a subway... Oh, the fun of seeing through the eyes of a child!

Seems like everyone must be getting caught up in life. Things have been crazy around our house. Settling in after the wedding, doing renovations (which mainly involve painting), that sort of thing. And then we found out that there will be a new addition in February! A bit earlier than we had intended, but we are excited... however, I have been struck down with debilitating morning sickness which does not limit itself to morning, but rather runs 24/7. Finally had to cave and request meds from the doctor so I could at least make it to work. Hopefully in the coming weeks things will slow down a bit around our place and we can catch up on things :)

Wendy,

Painting, something my parents need to have done to their house, one of these days, I'm just going to buy a gallon of paint and start the project. ;)

And! Congratulations on the new bundle. My wife had pretty bad morning sickness as well, and needed the meds to help with it also. But the little bundles are worth it(even when they don't sleep through the night yet at nearly 1 year old, aka my youngest). We are working on adjusting the day time schedule to fix the night time schedule. See if that helps.

Danny,

wish I could offer you some advice on that, but my son slept through the night without any fighting from about 4 months on... He did go through a spell around 9-10 months where he would wake up crying at about 2 am, but the Dr. said that was likely because he was beginning to have dreams that were waking him, nothing more, and it ended after about a month or so... He was an easy baby - now the toddler years are something entirely different...

This morning sickness thing is killing me! With my son, I threw up every morning at 630 without fail. BUT after about an hour and half I was fine the rest of the day. With this one, I can't keep anything down. And the meds help to a point (i.e. i can actually eat without throwing it all up half an hour later) I am still having some nausea, especially if I don't eat something every hour on the hour... and it leaves a VERY bad taste in my mouth which also doesn't help and no amount of breath mints, gum or teeth brushing will rid me of it... oh well, i can only hope that this time It really only lasts the typical 12-14 weeks, instead of six months like with monster boy... :) And thank you for the congratultions!

Okay, WTF... I have made some forays back over to WEBlog in the last couple of weeks, thinking MAYBE after more than a year, it would be possible for me to begin posting over there again, only to find myself referred to BY NAME by Nathan saying I was mean to him? No wonder I don't post over there. Now I won't be posting over there, period... That is SO aggravating.

I don't get it. A large number of people on the WEBlog seem to be "want to be nice" in words, but actions paint an entirely different picture. I'll disagree with certain ideologies, but I never have felt compelled to call another names because "I can't defend my position." I don't point to any one group or one person there, but a seemingly large majority of those who post there are like that.

Just an independent observation of my own. LOL :D

Danny,

It has pretty much always been that way, I have come to realize. And the people that raise the biggest stink about others calling names are usually the ones who are the worst about it... part of the reason why I don't like to post over there. I would like to know how the hell I even got brought into the conversation to begin with - I haven't had any interaction with Nathan in over a year, since that conversation where I was apparently "mean" to him... which, BTW, he was certainly no angel, and I am pretty sure that I freaking apologized to him afterwards, even though he NEVER apologized to me for it, and he is still harping on it? Get a Life! Oh, it just makes me so angry when people act like that...

Wendy,

I agree with you. If a year had passed, it would have been something I would have let go long before that. :D
I can't speak for everybody, but I certainly can speak for myself.

Anyway, my wife suggested trying to eat apples or something for morning sickness throughout the day. She said that helped her quite a bit.

Danny,

I will give that a shot. Something has got to start working soon :) Although, HOPEFULLY, I only have about 4 more weeks to get through the way it is... with my son, though, it was six months, so here's hoping this kid is nicer to me than that :)...

Wendy,

Well I hope so also. My wife had it bad with our first, our second wasn't so bad at all. She just had to keep hydrated and eat throughout the day. She said apples helped her the most.

All who are still reading here,

Hope everybody had a wonderful 4th of July. I just got back today from my extended weekend with the in-laws.

Friendly, nice, interesting people are here!

I quit stopping by and shouldn't have.

Wendy, congratulations on the expected new addition to the family. Sorry you're ill. Just as each child seems to be different, so does each pregnancy. A small amount of Fresca helped me. I hope you find relief. Hard to keep up with new hubby, toddler son, job, home and be sick. ;-(

Danny, good to know you're around! Everything going well with you and yours?

I get the occasional email from Julie. MM had to have the new knee removed in an attempt to finally get rid of the MRSA. Julie remains thankful for their blessings and upbeat about their challenges. Quite a woman!

I spoke with Vaughn last week. He thought he was gradually but surely climbing out from under the overload of work and might have glimpsed daylight. Said he thought he might even be able to blog again soon.

Well I'm rambling as usual. Such a pleasant surprise to find you nice folks here!
